Montessori Children's House Groß Sarau
The Montessori Children's House Groß Sarau is located in the village of Groß Sarau, which has a population of approximately 1,000. The village lies directly on Lake Ratzeburg and is surrounded by idyllic countryside. Forests and fields border the facility. The children's house opened on April 1, 2022, in a new building constructed specifically for this purpose by the municipality. It consists of two mixed-age family groups (ages 1-6), a nursery group (ages 1-3), and a preschool group (ages 3-6).
Care hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Closing dates: 6 weeks (3 weeks during the summer holidays, 1 week each at Easter, autumn and Christmas). Emergency childcare is available for 2 weeks during the summer holidays.
"Help me to do it myself" shapes the daily work at the children's center. The children, as little explorers, discover themselves and their surroundings. They understand and learn things through touch. They experiment. We create an environment where children can develop individually. Movement and fresh air play a crucial role. As the saying goes: if the pants are really dirty, the child had a lot of fun and has certainly gained some valuable experiences.
