Montessori Children's House Ratzeburg
The Montessori Children's House at Röpersberg opened in 2007 and consists of two nursery groups (10 children each) and two preschool groups (20 children each). You can expect a diverse group of children and qualified educators. We embrace diversity and see it as an enrichment.
Our childcare hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Our facility is closed for six weeks a year (three weeks during the summer holidays, one week around Easter, one week during the autumn holidays, and one week around Christmas, all coinciding with school holidays). Emergency childcare is offered during the summer holiday closure.
The children's home is located on the ground floor of the nurses' residence on the grounds of the German Red Cross hospital. In addition to lovingly furnished rooms, our facility offers a modern outdoor area.
Our work is centered on Montessori pedagogy. Using appropriate materials, we offer children diverse learning experiences, focusing on fostering their independence. In addition to classic Montessori materials, we also provide children with resources such as dress-up boxes, building blocks, a play kitchen, and much more.
We enjoy celebrating with children and parents. The various festivals throughout the year provide us with ample opportunity for this. A dedicated project day in the elementary groups offers children diverse stimuli to help them learn about the world. We spend time outdoors daily and regularly take excursions to the surrounding community.
