Nature Children's House Mölln
"Growing up in nature" – that's what's possible at the Mölln Nature Kindergarten, founded in 2021. It all started with motivated colleagues, curious children, and a handcart. Within a year, the forest group developed into an independent nature kindergarten with its own shelter. Located between the spa park and the field bakery, in close proximity to the Uhlenkolk Wildlife Park and the Mölln town center, we have the opportunity to explore the environment in a way that connects with real-life experiences. This means that the children's lives and learning – in community with us – are paramount. The "Tree Foxes," as we call them, experience the changing seasons firsthand, perceive them with all their senses, and can freely express their natural urge to play and move. Nature, in particular, offers a wealth of materials with which we can experiment by carefully and skillfully handling, taking apart, or putting together. Our shelter contains three rooms where even the coldest and wettest days are very comfortable. Here we find various Montessori materials, diverse craft materials, a reading corner and all the things we hopefully won't need, because the children prefer to be outdoors.
